In Hogwarts Legacy, defeating the formidable Ranrok Dragon is the ultimate challenge. As the strongest boss in the game, Ranrok's targeted attacks can send you right back to the beginning of the battle. However, armed with the right spells and strategy, you can emerge victorious.
Ranrok is a goblin wizard and the main antagonist of the game who hates all magic users. He can even transform into a colossal dragon, making him even more deadly. To beat Ranrok Dragon, you must equip yourself with the best spell set, including Diffindo, Confringo, Glacius, and Depulso.
The battle consists of three phases, each of which becomes increasingly difficult. During each phase, Ranrok Dragon becomes invulnerable for a short time, so you must destroy the spheres flying next to the boss to continue attacking. Depending on the sphere color, you must use different spells. The first phase is the easiest, with Ranrok Dragon using only three attacks, including Fireball, Dragon Breath, and Projectile.
The second phase includes all previous attacks and the new Explosion attack, which deals massive damage in a large radius in front of the boss. The third and final phase is the most challenging, with Ranrok Dragon on the ground and using all previous attacks, in addition to running and biting you. You must dodge all attacks while quickly destroying all the spheres. To beat Ranrok Dragon, you will need several attempts, but once you emerge victorious, you can be proud of defeating the main boss and completing the game. Don't forget to stock up on Wiggenweld potions to restore your health during the battle, and take advantage of the moments when Ranrok Dragon flies to another zone to restore your health as well.
