NCCIA Boosts Workforce to Combat Cybercrime Surge
The federal government is stepping up its game against the rising threat of cybercrime by approving the addition of 838 new positions within the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA). This move aims to enhance the agency’s ability to manage an increasing backlog of digital crime cases that have been piling up.
The initiative was put forth by the Director General of NCCIA and has successfully passed through the Ministry of Interior. With this expansion, the NCCIA hopes to address the growing challenges posed by cybercriminals and improve its response to incidents of digital crime.
The Establishment Division has already given the green light for these new roles, signaling a significant commitment to strengthening Pakistan’s cyber defenses. As the digital landscape continues to evolve, having a well-equipped and adequately staffed NCCIA will be crucial in safeguarding the nation’s online security.
This move not only promises to bolster the agency’s operations but also reflects the government’s recognition of the importance of robust cybersecurity measures in today’s tech-driven world.
