WoW’s New Prop Hunt Mode: Decor Duels Turns Into “X-Ray Tag” – What’s Going On, Blizzard?
Kaisa chal raha hai sab, gamers of PakGamersHub! Hope you’re all having a blast in your favorite virtual worlds. But if you’ve been diving into World of Warcraft’s latest patch, specifically trying out the brand-new Decor Duels mode, you might be feeling a bit… cheated.
Blizzard recently rolled out Decor Duels, their take on the popular “prop hunt” genre, right within the bustling cities of Azeroth. Imagine transforming into a potted plant or a suspicious-looking barrel and trying to blend in, while other players hunt you down. Sounds like a riot, right? A proper game of hide-and-seek, WoW style, with some cool housing decor rewards up for grabs. Unfortunately, it seems like the “seeking” part has gotten a little too easy, and the “hiding” part, well, almost impossible.
The big, glaring issue? Hunters in Decor Duels seem to have an unfair advantage: built-in X-ray vision! Turns out, the “Track Humanoids” ability, a long-standing feature in WoW, isn’t disabled in this new mode. This means seekers, especially those of the Ranger variety, can practically see through walls and spot hiders as glowing dots on their minimap. And even if you’re not a hunter, a simple consumable item – the Blackened Worg Steak – grants anyone this super-powered vision. So much for carefully studying that suspicious-looking bookshelf!
This is a pretty massive oversight, wouldn’t you say? Especially considering Blizzard actually put in other measures to keep things fair, like an invisible AFK timer that stops hiders from just sitting still forever and snagging rewards. It’s almost like they remembered everything *except* a core ability that completely breaks the spirit of a hide-and-seek game.
And if that wasn’t enough, some crafty players are already finding ways to bypass the arena’s invisible boundaries. They’re slipping through cracks and positioning themselves in completely unreachable spots, making the game even more frustrating for the seekers. But honestly, this isn’t too surprising. Give WoW players a map, and they’ll find every single exploit and out-of-bounds area imaginable. It’s practically a tradition in Azeroth to discover secret corners and forbidden zones.
Now, to be fair to Blizzard, Decor Duels is literally just a day old. It’s their first time dipping their toes into a prop hunt style mode, so there might be a learning curve for them to iron out all the kinks. But for now, it’s definitely a bummer that the mode isn’t quite living up to its fun potential. Let’s hope a hotfix is on its way faster than a hunter can track a humanoids-turned-table, because we all know how serious WoW players get when there are awesome housing decor rewards involved!
