She-Hulk’s Green Light for MCU Return? Tatiana Maslany Spills the Beans!
Alright, Marvel fans in Pakistan, get ready for some exciting news straight from the source! Tatiana Maslany, the incredible actress who brings our favorite gamma-powered lawyer, Jennifer Walters a.k.a. She-Hulk, to life, has been talking about what it would take for her character to make a proper comeback in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The Disney+ series She-Hulk: Attorney at Law definitely got people talking when it first dropped. While critics generally gave it a thumbs-up, audience reactions were, let’s just say, a bit all over the place. But here’s the kicker: despite the divided opinions, Marvel TV boss Brad Winderbaum recently confirmed that She-Hulk is actually one of their “best-performing shows”! With Avengers: Doomsday looming on the horizon, everyone’s wondering if we’ll see more of Jen Walters, either in a new season or teaming up with other heroes.
During a recent chat, Maslany shared her thoughts on She-Hulk’s future, and it sounds like she’s not closing the door just yet. But there’s a crucial condition: for a return to truly work, she believes original writer and creator Jessica Gao absolutely needs to be involved. “I think it would take somebody like Jessica Gao to weave her into that world because she knows that character so deeply and loves her and gets her tone,” Maslany explained.
She further elaborated that what made She-Hulk so unique was its lead character being the star of her own show, breaking the fourth wall and narrating directly to us. While she thinks it would be a “real cool challenge” to see She-Hulk in a different context, like a big team-up movie, the “joy of She-Hulk is in the singularness of it.”
It’s been almost four years since She-Hulk’s first season premiered as part of the post-Avengers: Endgame wave of MCU spin-offs. With all the buzz around Doomsday and hints dropped by other Hulk actors like Mark Ruffalo, fans are eagerly looking for any sign of a comeback. When asked if a Doomsday appearance or a Season 2 was more likely, Maslany playfully joked, “I think people would be so mad at me being on their screens again.”
Even though Brad Winderbaum has expressed his desire to “make more She-Hulk,” there’s no official word on a second season just yet. And as for Doomsday, Maslany is among a long list of actors, including her co-star Charlie Cox (Daredevil), whose involvement is still unconfirmed. So, while we eagerly wait for our favorite green attorney to smash her way back into the MCU, it’s clear that a reunion with Jessica Gao might be the key to making it happen!
