So, Valve just sent out those elusive preorder emails for the Steam Machine, and honestly, it feels like we're inching closer to another exciting launch—or a total train wreck. I didn’t jump on the preorder train mostly due to my skepticism about whether this will live up to the hype or just be another piece of gaming hardware that fizzles out. The lottery system they implemented is interesting, but I can’t help but feel it just serves to fuel the scalpers even more, already seeing ridiculous prices on eBay! I mean, sure, it's cool that people like Geoff Keighley snagged one, but I think I’ll hold off and see how it shakes out.
