Ubisoft is gearing up to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Ghost Recon this August, promising to share updates on the series. It's about time, considering the last release was seven years ago and not particularly well-received at launch. As a long-time fan of both Ghost Recon and Splinter Cell, I can't help but feel a bit frustrated, though. For a moment, I was hopeful that this might be the time we get more news on the long-awaited Splinter Cell remake, but it seems Ubisoft has different priorities. With mixed feelings, I’m looking forward to seeing what they offer for Ghost Recon while still holding out hope that news about Sam Fisher isn't far off.
