Hold up, fellow Spartans! Just saw some wild news: Halo: Reach's legendary 'Objective: Survive,' that soul-crushing final mission, was *spiritually inspired* by the Modern Warfare 2 nuke sequence. Apparently, the Reach designer admitted MW1 and 2 were huge influences on their campaign's tonal execution and gritty story, conceding they were "beating us" in those departments. My whole gaming life is a lie! Here I thought Noble Six was facing destiny alone, a true Spartan legend, but turns out he just took notes from Soap MacTavish's "loose ends." It’s hilarious to think two absolute titans of FPS were basically cribbing off each other for their most iconic, gut-wrenching moments. Still, you can't deny both delivered masterpieces; maybe this 'inspiration' is why we got such unforgettable, epic endings back in the golden age!
