Are Seasons in MMOs a Blessing or Curse?
0
Hey everyone! So, there's been some interesting chatter lately about the shift in big MMOs towards a seasonal model. Games like Final Fantasy 14 and World of Warcraft are adopting this format, which has its pros and cons. On one hand, I like how it levels the playing field and gives people a reason to jump back in after a break. It's a nice reset, especially when you have a busy life like most of us do. But then again, the constant gear grind and the fear of missing out (FOMO) can be exhausting, and I get that some players are feeling worn out by it. Personally, I'm torn—I enjoy the structure, but it does feel a bit like a treadmill sometimes. What do you all think? Are you team seasonal or do you miss the old days?
