Hey guys, caught some interesting news about The Vampire Lestat TV series that sounds peak Pakistani drama, but make it vampiric. Apparently, the showrunner admitted they've made a pretty big change for Armand and Daniel Molloy's story, completely ditching the "human and vampire falling in love" aspect from the books and aging Molloy up. What's even funnier is they're now focusing on giving their bond "the same sort of a weirdness to their manifestation" as in the source material. So basically, they removed the core romance but promise to keep it super awkward and strange instead? This is gold, reminds me of when directors try too hard to be "different" and end up making things unnecessarily complicated. Can't wait to see if this "weirdness" can hold up without the actual love story backing it!
