This Chill Delivery Game Feels Like Animal Crossing Took a Dark Turn—and I'm All In

Chill dreamy game

If you’ve ever zoned out during a long drive or daydreamed about quitting your job to deliver packages in a sleepy town, Easy Delivery Co. might be the game for you. It’s a moody little indie title with PS1-style graphics, laid-back lo-fi beats, and a bunch of oddly mysterious animal townsfolk—and honestly, I can’t wait to play it.

Delivering Packages in a Town That’s... Kinda Sad

You play as a grumpy-looking cat person who just got hired by a sketchy-sounding company called easyCo. Your mission? Drive around this gloomy mountain town delivering boxes in your tiny kei truck. Sounds simple enough, right?

The town doesn’t even have a real name—they just call it a "Profit Sector"—but that kind of adds to the vibe. It’s full of worn-down businesses, snowy roads, and apartment buildings that look like they haven’t seen better days in years. Occasionally a train rolls by, and sometimes the snow catches the light just right under a streetlamp. That’s about as lively as it gets.

Kinda Cozy, Kinda Creepy

At first glance, the game gives off Animal Crossing vibes with its cute cat and dog characters. But the more you talk to them, the weirder it gets. People forget who you are, confuse you with someone else, or start asking what happened to the last delivery driver. It’s subtle, but definitely unsettling.

The Steam page insists there’s “nothing strange going on” and “no lore, we promise,” but come on—there’s definitely something strange going on. It’s giving Silent Hill lite, but with more snow and less screaming.

Low-Poly Chill with a Side of Existential Crisis

Visually, Easy Delivery Co. leans into that old-school, low-res look, and it works perfectly. The game feels like a lost PS1 gem—grainy textures, blocky buildings, and fog for days. The lo-fi soundtrack only adds to the mood. One minute you’re sliding around a snowy curve with boxes tumbling around in your truck, the next you’re staring out over a foggy valley wondering why this game feels so deep.

It’s weirdly relaxing, even though your character is clearly not making great money and the town is kind of depressing. But hey, that’s part of the charm. There’s something oddly beautiful about the whole package (pun intended).

Coming Sometime in 2025

There’s no exact release date yet, but Easy Delivery Co. is expected to drop sometime this year. The demo has already made waves with its unique atmosphere and blend of cozy-meets-creepy, and if that’s your thing, this might be right up your alley.

So if you’re into chill games with just a hint of existential dread—or if you’ve ever wanted to be a tiny truck-driving cat working a gig job in a snowy town—keep an eye on this one. It might be weird, but it looks like the good kind of weird.
