Going Goblin Crazy: One Player’s Loot Frenzy in Diablo 4’s Lord of Hatred
In the latest craziness of Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred, one player has taken their loot-hunting to a whole new level, and it’s got everyone buzzing. With just one upgrade in the skill tree, players can unleash a massive amount of treasure goblins that might just break the game’s loot system!
This new skill tree lets you customize various dungeon types, offering perks like extra loot and tougher bosses. Initially, many players overlooked a game-changing option that allows slain enemies to respawn while you have a shrine buff active. But once they caught on, the results have been wild—particularly with treasure goblins, the most lucrative enemies in the game.
A YouTube gamer known as FP recently demonstrated the potential of the Nightmare Dungeon “Gauntlet” upgrade by racking up a staggering 2,401 treasure goblins in one run! However, be warned—this many goblins is practically a nightmare for a solo player. As you hoard all that shiny loot, the game starts struggling to keep up, leading to some cosmic loot vanishing act.
FP’s video serves as a brilliant showcase for a loot farming strategy that, if executed right, can outshine all others—just don’t go overboard! The tactic involves locating a dungeon known for its shrines and resetting it until those elusive treasure goblins appear, which can take a fair bit of time. Once you’ve got a route mapped out, activating multiple shrines in a row is key. Any goblins you take down while the shrine buff is active will respawn, giving you the chance to activate yet another shrine and keep the loot train rolling.
If you’re gunning for those “Gelatinous” goblins, you’re in for a treat—they split into smaller goblins when defeated, meaning more loot for you as they multiply like rabbits! Players using the popular Whirlwind Barbarian build, like FP, can zip through the chaos without even having to look at all the loot flying around. For everyone else, don’t forget to tweak the new loot filter settings in Lord of Hatred to only show the items you actually want. And hey, maybe throw on a podcast or some YouTube videos to keep you entertained while you sift through the mountain of goodies.
FP shared that they ended up losing almost all of their loot in this crazy run, so they’re planning to dial it back for the next adventure, aiming for a slightly more manageable 399 goblins. But here’s a thought—Diablo lore tells us that demons never really die; they just regenerate in the depths of hell. So, who knows? FP might just be setting the stage for their own doom when those goblins inevitably come back for revenge! All that loot might not mean much when faced with an army of angry goblins ready to reclaim what’s theirs!
