I can't believe we could have had a "Dream Daddy-inspired" dating sim in the Destiny universe! It’s wild to think that Bungie actually experimented with this concept during a game jam, but leadership shut it down, saying no to fun and silliness. A dating sim featuring characters like Xur or Caiatl could have brought some much-needed lightheartedness to Destiny 2, especially with how heavy the game's narrative has been lately. Imagine the chaotic romance options we could have had! It’s almost heartbreaking to see such creativity get stifled, but it also shows how important it is for game companies to let their teams explore wacky ideas. I really think a Valentine's event with this concept would have been a blast and a perfect way to engage the community in a unique way.
