Yaar, just heard some wild news about Valve's Steam Machines, turns out they almost didn't have any to sell! Apparently, the ongoing RAM crisis made memory and storage costs absolutely sky-high, pushing the minimum spec unit to over $1000. Valve engineers themselves admitted things looked "really dire" at the start of the year, uncertain if they'd have any stock at all. It's a relief they managed to get some out, but seriously, the struggle is real when components are this expensive for a dedicated console-like experience. How are we supposed to get into PC gaming on a dedicated box when it costs more than a decent gaming laptop?
