It’s a bummer to see DreamWorld, the MMO that raised over $65,000 on Kickstarter, shutting down just three months after its early access release. From the start, it faced major hurdles, including allegations of mismanaged assets and ambitious claims that simply couldn’t be met. I was hopeful that the game’s launch might spark some community interest, but with a peak of only 56 players, it became clear that the execution was far from what was promised. The developers have announced they're pulling the plug on server services, which means players relying on that online functionality will soon be left without a game to play. It’s a harsh reminder of how difficult it is to bring ambitious projects to life in the gaming world.
