Alright guys, so the news hit about Xbox and Bethesda's massive layoffs, cutting hundreds of staff from studios like ZeniMax Online, id Software, and even the main Bethesda Game Studios. It's a proper bloodbath, affecting development on games we're all waiting for, with devs openly expressing fears of more delays for The Elder Scrolls VI. What's wild is that despite all this, management is trying to reassure everyone they're now focusing on "strongest franchises" like The Elder Scrolls and Fallout, and that games like TES6 are still 'on track' for release. I just find it hilariously ironic how cutting so many people is supposedly going to make things "more stable" and lead to "sustainable growth" for our beloved games. Seems like a recipe for even buggier launches and burnt-out developers, doesn't it?
