Heard some concerning news that Nvidia is reportedly increasing the prices of their GPU kits, which include both the graphics chip and memory, for all their partner manufacturers. This is supposedly due to the ongoing global memory shortage, driven by the huge demand from AI, and could impact upcoming RTX 50-series cards like the 5050, as well as some existing RTX 40-series. We even hear that the high cost of memory has put new 50-series Super cards on hold entirely! Just when prices felt a bit stable, this seems like another blow to our wallets, and I'm sure AIBs will pass these costs on to us.
