Hey everyone, just caught up on the massive info dump from the Total War: Warhammer 40k livestream where they showcased the game's first full battle. It was a deep dive into the Astra Militarum defending against Orks, revealing a ton of new mechanics that really emphasize strategic depth. Things like individual line of fire, simulated projectiles, detailed cover mechanics, and customizable hero bodyguards are going to completely change how we approach battles compared to previous Total War titles. My biggest takeaway is that positioning and understanding unit loadouts will be absolutely critical, making the battlefield feel much more tactical and true to the 40k universe. The new engine looks fantastic too, and I'm really excited to see more as we get closer to the beta.
