Seed’s AI NPCs Miss the Mark
0
I recently checked out Seed, an MMO life sim that promises AI-driven avatars capable of more engaging conversations than your typical NPC. At first, I was excited—imagine a character with the ability to chat about anything beyond just quest-giving! However, my experience quickly showed that the reality is far from the promise. The initial interactions felt fun, with my avatar responding amusingly to my questions, but soon enough, the dialogue turned awkward and repetitive. It's clear the AI struggles to create meaningful conversations, often filling space with nonsensical phrases that shatter immersion. Although I'm intrigued by the potential for improved AI interactions in gaming, the current implementation in Seed leaves much to be desired. I'd rather have engaging, scripted dialogue than endless, shallow blabber that lacks any real substance.
