I just wrapped up Black Flag Resynced and honestly, I'm torn. While it’s great to see Edward Kenway’s adventures get a shiny makeover, I can’t shake the feeling that the remake misses the mark on some core elements that made the original so special. Sure, the visuals are stunning and ship battles are more intense, but the removal of stealth fail conditions and that smooth climbing mechanic feels like Ubisoft is trying to dumb down the experience instead of enhancing it. After diving back into the original, it felt so much richer and more challenging. It’s hard not to recommend just replaying the classic—it's aged surprisingly well and captures that vibe I was craving. I wanted a nostalgia trip, not a half-hearted remix.
