EA’s New Ownership Drama Continues!
0
So, it looks like the European Commission has given the thumbs up to Saudi Arabia’s $55 billion bid for Electronic Arts! This is pretty wild since it means they won't oppose the buyout, which is shocking considering the scrutiny that other deals have faced, like Microsoft’s Activision Blizzard acquisition. It’s definitely a mixed bag—on one hand, you have the potential for more investment and possibly exciting new projects, but on the flip side, there are serious concerns about competition and the massive debt EA would be facing. I honestly don’t know how to feel about this; it’s so big and could change gaming as we know it. What do you guys think? Are we ready for EA to go private?
