A producer explained that this cycle helps them meet the goal of a Resident Evil title each year while also challenging their development teams. While I appreciate the quality of their remakes, especially the fantastic RE4 one, I personally hope this focus doesn't overshadow the need for more original stories and expansions within their universe. It's a smart business model, but I'm always keen to see more true innovation from big studios.
