Missing Modes Alert: Black Ops 1 and 2 Trophy List Leaks Raise Concerns

Exciting news for Call of Duty fans! The beloved Black Ops 1 and 2 are set to make a comeback on PS4 and PS5, but it seems like not everything will be returning with them. A recently leaked trophy list has surfaced, revealing some notable absences that might dampen the nostalgia for many players.

According to the details from the leak, while most of the trophies mirror those from the original PS3 versions, a few key ones have been left out. Notably, features like the theater mode, League Play, and the popular wager matches are missing. Theater mode was a fan-favorite, allowing players to relive their epic battles and even create content for YouTube—a massive deal back in the day!

Wager matches, where players could bet in-game currency on unique game modes like Gun Game and One in the Chamber, are also not making a return. Gun Game was particularly thrilling, as players had to switch weapons with each elimination, while One in the Chamber added a layer of intensity by limiting bullets. These modes have become staples in later Call of Duty titles, but it looks like they won’t be part of this re-release.

Additionally, one trophy linked to Black Ops 2’s League Play is also missing. Given the age of these titles, it’s understandable that a competitive scene might not be in the cards. There’s always a glimmer of hope that these modes could still be included despite the trophy removals, but with most trophies remaining unchanged, it seems they might be absent in the new versions.

It’s worth noting that gambling regulations have tightened globally since the original release, which could be a reason Activision opted not to include these features this time around. As of now, Activision hasn’t announced a specific launch date for the re-releases, but we know both classics are slated to hit modern PlayStation consoles sometime in July. Fans can look forward to campaigns, multiplayer, and Zombies modes, but it’s bittersweet to see some fan-favorite features potentially missing.
