The Grand Tour Revvs Up for a Fresh Season with New Hosts!
Get your engines ready, folks! Prime Video has officially announced that the highly anticipated new season of The Grand Tour is set to kick off on September 4. This time around, the show is shaking things up with a brand-new trio of hosts, capturing the attention of car lovers everywhere.
The announcement came via a fun series of social media posts that embraced their fresh lineup with a catchy slogan: “Same show. New knobs.” The upcoming season will consist of six exciting episodes, taking viewers on a thrilling ride through diverse locations like the Angolan desert, Malaysia, and California. Adventure awaits!
Stepping into the hosting roles are Thomas Holland and James Engelsman, both of whom are already well-known from the popular motoring YouTube channel Throttle House. They will be joined by the vibrant social media star, Francis Bourgeois. Holland, a motoring journalist, co-founded Throttle House back in 2015, while Engelsman joined him shortly after. On the other hand, Bourgeois (whose real name is Luke Nicolson) is a qualified mechanical engineer who left his job at Rolls-Royce to focus on his passion for trainspotting and creating engaging content online.
In a nostalgic nod to the past, former host Jeremy Clarkson even made a brief cameo on The Grand Tour’s social channels earlier this year, introducing the new hosts in a fun skit.
For those who don’t know, The Grand Tour holds the title of Prime Video’s most-watched unscripted series in the UK. However, it has been off-air since September 2024, when the original trio of Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May wrapped up their final road adventure, which spanned the breathtaking landscapes of Zimbabwe and Botswana. With a new season on the horizon, fans are eager to see how this fresh dynamic will unfold!
