Solar Power in Pakistan: A New Milestone Achieved

Pakistan’s leap into solar energy just keeps gaining speed! In May 2026, our country saw a remarkable achievement in net-metered electricity generation, hitting some of the highest levels recorded yet, even with a slight dip from the previous month.

According to insights from Arif Habib Limited, net-metered electricity represented a solid 4.1% of the total power generation in Pakistan for that month. This marks a significant increase of 105 basis points compared to May of last year, showcasing the growing trend and reliance on solar energy sources.

This expansion is not just a number; it reflects how swiftly Pakistan is moving toward cleaner, more sustainable energy solutions. As solar panels become more prevalent and accessible, it’s exciting to witness how this shift will reshape our energy landscape in the coming years.

So, here’s to more sunny days ahead and the continued growth of renewable energy in Pakistan!
