Ahoy, Gamers! Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced Sails to Record-Breaking Steam Launch!

Prepare for some epic gaming news, fellow pirates and assassins! The highly anticipated Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced has just launched on Steam, and it’s not just making waves – it’s practically creating a tsunami! This revamped pirate adventure has instantly claimed the title for the biggest Steam debut in the entire Assassin’s Creed saga.

In just a few short hours since its release, Black Flag Resynced has already pulled in an astounding over 99,000 concurrent players on Steam! And get this, that number is still climbing! This isn’t just a win; it’s a massive victory that leaves previous record-holders in its wake. To put it in perspective, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, which launched last year, peaked at around 64,000 players. Even fan favorites like Assassin’s Creed Odyssey hit a peak of about 62,000, and Assassin’s Creed Origins saw around 41,000 concurrent users.

The original Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag’s own Steam record of roughly 16,000 players was absolutely shattered in mere moments. Of course, it’s worth remembering that when the original Black Flag launched on PC, Steam’s user base wasn’t quite the colossal force it is today, and the PC version also arrived a month after its console counterparts on PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U.

It’s also true that many other Assassin’s Creed titles from Ubisoft have had a bit of a mixed bag when it comes to their Steam launches. Take Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, for example – a huge game in the series, but it only hit a peak of about 19,000 players on Steam. That’s because it arrived on the platform years after its initial release on consoles and the Epic Games Store, so it wasn’t exactly a fair fight from the get-go. Still, the sheer force of Black Flag Resynced’s debut is undeniable.

Regardless of how you slice it, these are massive numbers for Black Flag Resynced on Steam. It’s probably not a huge shock, though, given how much love and nostalgia players have for the original pirate epic. This game has always been a fan favorite, and this launch proves it!

A quick heads-up for those of you already sailing the high seas in the game: there’s a reported bug that could potentially wipe out a few hours of your progress. So, make sure to save frequently and be aware!
