Zed Unleashes Shadows in Riftbound’s Explosive New Vendetta Set!

Hold onto your decks, gamers! The buzz in the trading card game community is real, and it’s all about Riftbound, the super-popular League of Legends TCG. A brand-new set, aptly named “Vendetta,” is just around the corner, promising to shake things up when it officially drops on July 31st!

For those of you who’ve been deeply immersed in the world of Riftbound, you know new sets mean new strategies, new challenges, and of course, new cards! “Vendetta” isn’t just bringing fresh faces; it’s introducing some thrilling new mechanics to master. We’re talking about abilities like Flow, Burn, and Empower, along with a cool new unit type called Unit-Gear (which, as the name suggests, counts as both a unit and a piece of gear!). Plus, get ready for “decrees” to add even more layers to your gameplay.

But let’s get to the good stuff, the card reveals! We’ve got an exclusive peek at two cards that are bound to make waves, especially if you’re a fan of League of Legends’ iconic ninja, Zed. First up is the “Overnumbered Champion Unit Zed, From the Shadows.” This formidable card brings 4 Might to the table and costs 4 Energy to play, with an additional requirement to recycle a Fury rune. Pretty standard, right? Well, that’s where the simplicity ends.

Zed comes with a neat trick: “You may discard 1 as an additional cost to play me.” While this version of Zed doesn’t flaunt the new Flow, Burn, or Empower keywords, this discard ability is incredibly interesting. With so many new mechanics interacting with your trash pile, strategically discarding a card could set up some seriously powerful plays later on. And if you do pay that additional cost when playing Zed, here’s where things get really spicy: you get to summon a 0 Might “Shadow Clone” unit token!

Now, a 0 Might unit token might not sound like much on its own, but trust us, the “Shadow Clone” is anything but harmless. This sneaky token has an incredible ability: when it attacks, you can banish a unit from your trash to give it a whopping Assault 4 for that turn! That means your seemingly weak Shadow Clone suddenly attacks with +4 Might, turning it into a very real threat out of nowhere. Imagine the possibilities – a unit that was just fodder can suddenly become a deadly attacker, opening up all sorts of strategic plays, especially when combined with positioning or unit-targeting spells. It’s all about turning trash into treasure!

More Riftbound: Vendetta cards are expected to be unveiled throughout July, leading up to the big release on July 31st. So, keep your eyes glued to official announcements and PakGamersHub for all the latest updates as we get closer to launch. Get ready to dive into the shadows and unleash your Vendetta!
