Chilling Sneak Peek of Resident Evil Unveiled at Comic-Con
A fresh clip from the much-anticipated Resident Evil movie has emerged, and it’s guaranteed to give fans some serious chills. During the buzz of San Diego Comic-Con, director Zach Cregger teased viewers with a sneak peek, revealing that the action unfolds early in the film.
The scene kicks off on a snowy night, where we meet Bryan, played by Austin Abrams. He stumbles upon a flipped police car eerily abandoned in a foggy field. As he crawls into the passenger side, curiosity gets the better of him, especially with the door left ajar. Bryan checks for the officer’s pulse, and just then, the radio crackles to life, sending shivers down the spine of everyone watching.
“Hello, I’m not a cop, so I don’t know what to say, but I have an emergency here. Can you hear me?” he calls out, only to be met with silence. The suspense thickens as Bryan searches the inside of the car, but instead of the officer, he’s met by a horrifying sight—a zombified woman crawling around the vehicle!
In a panic, Bryan seizes the officer’s gun and warns the undead creature to stop as she eerily approaches on all fours. He kicks her away and tries to shoot, but the weapon won’t fire. Frantic and terrified, he realizes the safety is still on, just as the zombie closes in. An accidental shot fires off to the side, and in the chaos, he nearly drops the gun.
Just when it seems like all hope is lost, the zombie vanishes, leading Bryan to cautiously circle the car. Suddenly, she bursts from the shadows, causing him to stumble and miss shot after shot until he’s flat on the ground. In a last-ditch effort, he fires one more time, and it sends the zombie crashing down like a rag doll. And that’s where the clip ends!
Director Cregger humorously noted that the final version of this scene will differ from what was shown at Comic-Con, mentioning they managed to cut out about 25 f-words from the clip!
