The Spartan’s Saga Continues: Another Kratos God of War Game Announced!

Sony Santa Monica, the brilliant minds behind the critically acclaimed God of War series, has officially confirmed that a brand-new Kratos-led game is on the horizon!
This massive announcement came directly from Santa Monica Studio’s head of creative, Cory Barlog, during a recent appearance at San Diego Comic-Con. The exciting part? This upcoming Kratos adventure will pick up right after the events of the highly anticipated God of War: Laufey, which is set to launch in February 2027 and will focus on Kratos’s beloved, late wife, Faye.
Barlog emphasized that everything currently in development, including God of War: Laufey, is meticulously crafted to expand the rich lore and connect seamlessly with what’s to come. “Every step we’re taking with the Faye game,” Barlog explained, “is a direct continuation of past events and a setup for future explorations within this grand narrative tapestry. While Faye’s story offers a fresh perspective, Kratos will always be central to the saga. We’re incredibly thrilled about the future.”
Naturally, details about this next Kratos-centric title are still under wraps. We don’t have a release window, specific plot details, or even confirmed platforms yet – but knowing it’s coming is enough to get us hyped!
