San Diego Comic-Con 2026 has been an absolute treasure trove of surprises, and it looks like Marvel is using this platform to drop some huge hints about the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday. One of the main attractions has been a rotating display of Doctor Doom’s costumes at the Marvel Studios booth, and fans are buzzing with theories.

Among the eye-catching exhibits were three vibrant “Latverian witch” costumes showcased in different colors. However, the real conversation starter has been the striking symbols adorning Doctor Doom’s new outfit. If you take a closer look, you’ll see something intriguing: on one shoulder, there’s Thor’s iconic hammer set inside a golden circle, while the other shoulder sports the emblem of Captain Marvel. Talk about a twist!

Interestingly, Brie Larson, who plays Captain Marvel, was noticeably absent during the live-streamed casting for Avengers: Doomsday. As of now, she hasn’t confirmed her involvement in the film, which adds to the mystery. Although we’ve witnessed Thor battling Doom in the trailers, Captain Marvel has yet to make an appearance, leaving us all wondering what her role might be.

As for those colorful Latverian witch costumes, fans are speculating that they could signal the return of Wanda Maximoff. The sequence began with a green costume, followed by orange and then purple, leading up to Doctor Doom’s own ensemble. What’s particularly interesting is that the term “Latverian witches” doesn’t exist in the comics, but there’s a storyline where Doctor Doom captures Wanda and coerces her into serving him. The colors of the costumes could even hint at the Infinity Stones—remember those?
