Lady Dimitrescu & Orin Actress Joins New D&D Open-World RPG ‘Warlock’!

Big news for all you Dungeons & Dragons fans and gamers who appreciate top-tier voice acting! Wizards of the Coast, the brains behind the iconic D&D universe, is cooking up something special with their upcoming open-world game, Warlock, and the cast list is already shaping up to be legendary.

We’ve been hearing whispers about Warlock for a while now, and while details are still a bit scarce, we do know it’s going to be a single-player, magic-heavy adventure set in an expansive open world. Unlike the incredibly popular Baldur’s Gate 3, this game won’t be turn-based or rely on dice rolls for combat. Think more along the lines of a classic action RPG with a D&D twist, perhaps a blend of Skyrim’s freedom with the deep lore of D&D. It’s designed to give players a less ‘tabletop’ and more immersive, real-time experience.

Now for the exciting part that has everyone buzzing: the casting! The notorious archmage and demonologist, Tasha, a character many D&D enthusiasts will recognize from the Forgotten Realms, will be a major player in Warlock. And who better to bring such a formidable figure to life than the incredibly talented Maggie Robertson?

That’s right, the same Maggie Robertson who terrified us all as Lady Dimitrescu in Resident Evil Village and later captivated us as the chaotic Orin the Red in Baldur’s Gate 3! She’s not just lending her voice but also her motion-capture performance to Tasha. Given her track record with memorable, often villainous, and always captivating characters, we can expect Tasha to be an absolutely unforgettable presence in the game.

But the star power doesn’t stop there! The protagonist of Warlock, named Kaatri, will be voiced by Tricia Helfer, known for her roles in hit shows like Battlestar Galactica and Lucifer. With such an incredible lineup of talent, it’s clear that Wizards of the Coast and developer Invoke Studios are pulling out all the stops to create a truly immersive narrative experience.

If there’s one thing games like Baldur’s Gate 3 have shown us, it’s that a stellar voice cast can elevate an entire game, making characters truly resonate with players.
