Ariana Grande to Take a Break from Public Eye After Tour

Ariana Grande, the star of the much-anticipated film adaptation of Wicked, has announced that she will be stepping back from the public eye following her Eternal Sunshine tour. Set to conclude in London on September 1, this decision comes amidst ongoing scrutiny regarding her health and appearance, particularly concerning recent weight loss.

A representative for Grande shared, “She looks forward to finishing the tour on a high note, both healthily and happily. After that, she’ll take a well-deserved break from public-facing work and appearances, which have led to endless, ongoing public scrutiny.” This tour has been a significant journey for her, and she cherishes the support from her fans throughout.

The scrutiny surrounding Grande intensified after the release of her music video for “Petal,” where many comments focused on her appearance, prompting moderators on a popular forum to remove disrespectful remarks. With over 52,000 comments on the YouTube video, it’s clear that public interest in her looks often crosses into harsh territory.

In addition to her tour, Grande was supposed to star in the West End musical “Sunday in the Park with George,” alongside her Wicked co-star Jonathan Bailey. However, it’s currently unclear if she will promote her upcoming film “Focker-in-Law,” which is set to hit theaters in November.

The Wicked film series has achieved tremendous success, grossing over $1.3 (approx. Rs 360) billion worldwide, with Grande playing the role of Glinda. Following her projects with Wicked, she will lend her voice to the animated adaptation of Dr. Seuss’ classic “Oh, the Places You’ll Go!” set to release on March 17, 2028. Grande’s dedication to her craft remains evident, but for now, she prioritizes her well-being and personal time away from the spotlight.
