Mastering Early Skills in Beast of Reincarnation: A Guide for New Players
As you dive into the world of Beast of Reincarnation, you’ll quickly find yourself overwhelmed with the array of skills available for Emma and Koo. Knowing where to allocate those precious attribute points is key, especially since many skills are locked until you level up the main ones they’re tied to.
To make the most of your early game experience, focusing on enhancing Emma’s area-of-effect (AoE) damage while utilizing Koo’s support skills is a solid strategy. Here’s a breakdown of the top skills you should aim to unlock first:
Emma’s Essential Skills
Emma might seem unassuming at first, but her hair has some serious potential!
Hair
Emma can actually use her hair as a weapon right from the start, which might not be immediately clear. By investing attribute points into Vitality and applying skill points to the Hair category, you can significantly boost the damage of her hair attacks against foes.
Helm Splitter
This is arguably the best skill you can grab early on. Nestled within the Hair category, Helm Splitter allows Emma to perform a devastating slam from above, dealing damage to enemies below. Just remember, you’ll need to invest points into her Vitality to unlock its full potential. This skill works wonders against both regular enemies and bosses, letting Emma stay safe while dishing out the pain.
Petal Barrage
When Emma finds herself airborne, she can unleash a powerful area attack that wreaks havoc on multiple foes. This is particularly useful during boss battles or when swarmed by enemies. Pairing this with one of Koo’s attacks can maximize its effectiveness and help you take down tougher opponents.
Tracking Shot
This skill is a must-have if you enjoy using ranged weapons. By hitting an enemy with a ranged shot, you can infuse your arrows with blight, making them seek out targets. It requires you to have 7 points in Emma’s Florescence stat, so grab it once you’ve settled your main skills.
Koo’s Key Skills
Koo is not just a sidekick; his skills can really shine in tough situations!
Pounce
The Pounce skill is a fantastic crowd control tool that requires some investment in Koo’s Strength. When Emma commands Koo to “Run Ahead,” he will target weaker enemies and deliver a swift kill. Keep an eye on the enemy’s health indicator, as this won’t work on stronger foes or Nushi.
Detect Hidden Item
Once Koo’s Pounce reaches level two, he can help you uncover hidden treasures while exploring. This skill alerts you to valuable items, seeds, and strongboxes lurking in the environment, making your adventures a lot more rewarding.
Dokuzeri: Fang
Obtained after defeating the second boss, this venomous attack is one you’ll want to use immediately. Koo’s fangs become infused with poison, causing dokuzeri flowers to sprout, which will damage enemies over time.
Lay Landmine / Lay Flame Trap
Starting with Lay Landmine, this skill allows Koo to set traps for adversaries during combat. Upgrading to Lay Flame Trap enhances this ability, giving you a tactical edge when facing multiple enemies at once.
While there are many skill combinations to explore, these are the ones we recommend you focus on in the early game. As you progress, keep an eye out for Emma’s ability to link shots with elemental effects, which becomes incredibly beneficial. Happy gaming, and enjoy your journey in Beast of Reincarnation!
