Ahsoka Season 2 Teases: D23 Unveils Epic Flashbacks, Familiar Faces, and More Lightsaber Action!

Star Wars fans, brace yourselves! The recent D23 event has given us some seriously exciting glimpses into what’s headed our way in Ahsoka Season 2. If you were already hyped for the next chapter of Ahsoka Tano’s journey, prepare for that excitement to go into hyperspace!

One of the biggest reveals came from the display of new costumes. We saw outfits for a younger Ahsoka Tano and none other than Anakin Skywalker, both dressed in intriguing cold-weather gear. This strongly suggests we’re getting more Clone Wars flashbacks, potentially bringing back Ariana Greenblatt as the Padawan-era “Snips.” Could we revisit a snowy planet or witness a brand-new frosty scenario from their past? The possibilities are thrilling!

But the revelations didn’t stop at costumes. Concept art on display offered even more tantalizing details. Fans will be thrilled to hear about the return of Morai, the mysterious convor linked to the Daughter Force god and Ahsoka’s resurrection during the legendary Mortis arc of Clone Wars. This guardian bird, a symbol of the light side, was shown observing Ahsoka and Sabine Wren on the distant planet Peridea – hinting at its continued significance.

The concept art also showed some intense action sequences. We saw Huyang, the wise lightsaber architect droid, brandishing multiple lightsabers in what looks like a showdown against Shin Hati. Grand Admiral Thrawn was also spotted, deep in thought over a map on his Star Destroyer, undoubtedly plotting his next move. And for those who love the darker side of the Force, the Nightsisters of Dathomir were depicted with what appear to be energy bows, looking as formidable as ever. Even Enoch, the enigmatic gold-masked stormtrooper, was featured, surprisingly wielding a green lightsaber!

To top it all off, Eman Esfandi, who plays Ezra Bridger, dropped some serious teasers. He promised “more lightsabers. A lot more lightsaber action. There’s going to be some space battles, some space action, and there’s going to be witches, and swords, and explosions galore.” He emphasized that the new season will be “really fun, really fast-paced,” which is exactly what we want to hear!

So, while we eagerly await Ahsoka Season 2, which is currently slated for 2027, these D23 reveals have certainly fueled our anticipation for what promises to be an epic return to the galaxy far, far away!
