Arc Raiders: Your Guide to Taming the “Tracks of the Beast” Mission!

Hey, fellow Raiders! If you’ve been diving deep into the intense world of Arc Raiders, you know the grind is real, and new challenges are always popping up. After successfully navigating the initial hurdles of the Exploring Pendoloa Pass quest, you’re likely staring down a new, rather intimidating assignment: the “Tracks of the Beast” mission. This one introduces you to a couple of formidable new ARC units – the Bully and the Skulker – and it can feel a bit overwhelming at first glance.

But fear not, because we’ve got your back! This mission might seem dangerous, especially with these fresh threats lurking around, but it’s totally manageable with the right approach. You don’t always have to go in guns blazing, but there are some sweet bonus rewards if you choose to take on the optional objectives. Let’s break down everything you need to know to conquer “Tracks of the Beast” and come out on top!

Cracking the “Tracks of the Beast” Code

The core of this mission revolves around a few key objectives that you absolutely must complete in a single round. This isn’t a quest you can chip away at over several deployments, so planning your run is crucial. Here’s the rundown of what needs to get done:

  • Head to the Northern Tracks area on Pendola Pass.
  • Locate the destroyed station situated at the end of these tracks.
  • Successfully ping a Bully.
  • Successfully ping a Skulker.

On top of these mandatory tasks, there are also some optional challenges that will net you some extra goodies if you’re feeling brave enough to tackle them. These aren’t essential for completing the mission, but who doesn’t love bonus loot?

  • (Optional) Destroy 3 Skulkers.
  • (Optional) Deliver a Skulker Targeter.

If time runs out or you just can’t find enough Skulkers for the optional tasks, don’t sweat it! You’ll still get your standard mission rewards. However, those bonus rewards can be pretty neat, so it’s always worth trying if the opportunity arises.

Finding Your Way: Northern Tracks and the Destroyed Station

Your first order of business is to pinpoint the Northern Tracks. While Pendola Pass is a vast map, the Northern Tracks aren’t explicitly labeled as a distinct zone. Instead, think of it as the northernmost region of the map where you can clearly see train tracks weaving through the landscape. Often, you might even spawn directly into this general vicinity, saving you some precious search time.

Once you’ve made it into the Northern Tracks area, your objective will update, directing you to find the “destroyed station at the end of the tracks.” Now, don’t take “end of the tracks” literally, as some parts might lead you out of bounds! The station you’re looking for is actually the Almatera Station, located specifically in the northwestern part of Pendola Pass. Just make your way to Almatera Station, and as soon as you step foot within its perimeter, that part of your quest should be marked as complete.

Meeting the Menace: Pinging the Bully and Skulker

With the location sorted, it’s time to face the new ARC units. While Bullies and Skulkers can appear anywhere on Pendola Pass, you’ll often find a Bully lurking around the Almatera Station itself. These guys are hard to miss – and even harder to ignore! A Bully is a massive ground enemy, almost as big as a Leaper, but it moves with a surprising speed and aggression reminiscent of a more agile Bastion. You’ll definitely hear it before you see it, thanks to its loud, mechanical stomps.

Your goal is to ping the Bully, not necessarily to destroy it. So, listen for those distinct mechanical sounds as you circle the station, then carefully creep up to get a clear ping. Once that’s done, you can focus the rest of your round on finding a Skulker.

Skulkers are a different breed entirely. They’re much smaller ground enemies, moving somewhat like a Pop with legs, but they pack a punch and become incredibly aggressive once they lock onto a target. They love to stay low to the ground, often blending into the snowy environment, making them quite elusive. You might find them crawling around the station area, or you might need to venture a bit further out into the map if they’re playing hide-and-seek.

Remember, for the main objective, you just need to ping a Skulker. Even if you find the scrap remains of one, pinging it will count towards your mission completion!

Going for Gold: Optional Challenges and Taking Down Skulkers

If you’re aiming for those bonus rewards by taking on the optional tasks, you’ll need to get up close and personal with Skulkers. They typically lurk more out in the open than you might expect, but their low profile makes them tricky to spot. Start your search around the train station, then expand your perimeter into the wider map if you’re not having any luck.

When it comes to taking them down, Skulkers have a weak point that makes them easier to handle. Wait for their turret to pop out from the center of their body, and then unleash your fire on that. It’s much more effective than just shooting their armored shell. Once you’ve defeated a Skulker, don’t forget to loot its remains! You’ll need to grab at least one Skulker Targeter to deliver for that optional bonus objective.

Completing the “Tracks of the Beast” mission is a great way to deepen your understanding of Arc Raiders’ evolving threats and map layouts. For Pakistani gamers, mastering these challenges means not only earning valuable rewards but also contributing to a stronger squad and making every raid count. Good luck, and happy hunting!
