Hades 2 Gets a Fresh Update: New Dialogues, Buffed Godly Powers, and Romance Enhancements!
Hey gamers! If you’ve been diving deep into the underworld of Hades 2, you’ll be glad to know that Supergiant Games is not just resting on their laurels after the game’s early access launch last September. They’ve rolled out yet another patch this week to polish up the experience even further. Let’s break down what’s new!
This latest update brings a treasure trove of enhancements. For starters, the Fated Prophecies list has been refreshed with five new narrated conclusion scenes, plus an extra scene that’s been tweaked for better storytelling. You’ll also find clearer instructions for some tasks, making it easier to hit those story milestones.
But that’s not all! The game’s dialogue has received a nice boost, addressing some awkwardness that players felt during their journey. For instance, now when you snag a boon from Hera early on, she’ll actually acknowledge you instead of acting like a stranger. Plus, Poseidon is getting more pumped up as you activate his Sea Star ability—immersive, right?
The romance aspect has seen a major upgrade as well. Icarus is now less hesitant to build a connection, and interactions with Moros and Nemesis can occur in more relaxed settings. You can even shower NPCs with gifts endlessly, even after maxing out your friendship with them. This means you won’t be left staring at a silent character after clearing their dialogue trees—definitely a win for all you relationship builders out there!
On the gameplay front, Ares has finally received some love. It always felt off that the god of war had weaker boons compared to others. This patch aims to fix that, with numerous boons now packing more punch, and some have been completely revamped for better gameplay experience.
Lastly, the update adds a few extra treats, like new decorations for crossroads and various upgrades for your familiars. Having spent a good chunk of my time—around 65 hours—exploring Hades 2 (which totally won my heart as Game of the Year for 2025), I can say I’m thrilled with these changes. Many players felt that the initial ending wrapped up a bit too neatly, so it’s great to see Supergiant taking the time to fine-tune and enhance our gaming journey.
