Unlocking the Secrets of Blue Crystals in Pragmata

If you’ve just stepped into Sector 1 of Pragmata, you may have noticed some pesky blue crystal barriers blocking your way in the Solar Power Plants. Peeking inside those rooms might tantalize you, but unfortunately, you can’t break through just yet. When you move on to Sector 2, the Mass Production Array—reminiscent of a futuristic New York—you’ll encounter even more of these crystal roadblocks.

Now, don’t let these blue barriers frustrate you too much! You can’t smash through them from the get-go, and later on, you’ll even face red crystal barricades that require a different approach entirely. So, what’s the deal with these blue barriers? Let’s break it down!

The blue crystals, referred to as “filament masses,” are something you need to learn to tackle. To break them, you’ll first need to advance through the storyline and acquire a special ability known as the Lim Eraser. This power can be found at the bottom of the Lim Recycling Facility, which you can access near the end of Sector 2: Mass Production Array.

Here’s the game plan:

• First, finish up in Sector 1: Solar Power Plants and take down the Sector Guard boss.
• Then, make your way to Sector 2: Mass Production Array and locate the main hub, which has a vibe similar to New York City. You’ll need to unlock a door to reach the Comms Tower.
• Keep pushing through your objectives until you’ve hacked four out of five beacons.

Once you’ve hacked the fourth beacon located on a rooftop in the Business District, head through the building, climb up the ladder, and then drop off the ledge ahead. Climb the boxes on your right to reach a bridge—make sure it’s the right one! Go into the lab, which you’ll soon realize is the Lim Recycling Facility, and activate the recycler through the terminal. This will clear a path deeper into the building.

After battling your way past the Decoy Generator weapon pick-up, continue navigating through the facility until you arrive at the Read Earth Memory area. Keep an eye out for lasers, dodge them, and drop down to the lower levels to enter the lab at the ramp’s end. Here, you’ll interact with a terminal where Diana will absorb the Lim Eraser power (it’s a quirky process!). With this new ability, you can finally break through those blue crystal barriers you previously encountered.

Now that you’re equipped with the Lim Eraser, it’s time to backtrack and collect those hidden gems! Here are some spots you shouldn’t miss in Sector 1:

• Solar Power Plants: Check down the corridor to your right from the Generator Entrance. You’ll find the Storage Expander, which boosts Diana’s hacking capabilities.
• Power Distribution Center: Navigate through the laser corridor, take the lift on your left, and jump to a lower platform to find another crystal barricade. Smash it open to reveal a combat arena filled with treasures!

And let’s not forget, as you progress into Sector 3: Terra Dome and even further into Sector 4: Lunum Mines, you’ll encounter red crystal barriers. These hurdles, referred to as “dead filament,” require a completely different technique using the Cleanse ability, which you unlock in Sector 5 after defeating the Luna Digger. This will let you blast through red crystals, adding another layer to your adventures.
