Hulu’s New Fantasy Romance: Everflame is Coming!

Get ready for a fantastical journey, folks! Hulu has just secured the rights to bring to life the epic tale from Penn Cole’s Kindred’s Curse Saga. The first book, titled Spark of the Everflame, will be adapted into a series known simply as Everflame.

Heidi Cole McAdams, who’s worked on shows like The 100 and Stumptown, will be teaming up as co-creator for this exciting project. So, what’s the story all about? The narrative follows Diem Bellator, a healer navigating her life in the enchanting realm of Emarion. Once a vibrant home to immortal beings known as the Kindred, this mystical land is now ruled by their offspring, the Descended, which Diem isn’t too fond of.

As fate would have it, Diem finds herself caught up with Prince Luther Corbois of Lumnos, one of the most influential families in Emarion. This sparks a tale filled with slow-burn romance and plenty of tension that we can’t wait to see unfold!

In an enthusiastic statement, Cole expressed his excitement about collaborating with McAdams, stating that she truly grasps the essence of the series and what makes Diem’s journey captivating. He’s confident that this adaptation will resonate with both new viewers and dedicated fans alike.

Everflame is just one of many adaptations riding the wave of social media-fueled book successes. Other notable projects include Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros, set to premiere on Prime Video, and the Blood and Ash series, which is currently in the works with Sony Pictures Television. While the much-anticipated adaptation of A Court Of Thorns And Roses (ACOTAR) at Hulu has been shelved, there’s still hope as author Sarah J. Maas has regained the rights, leaving the door open for future adaptations.

So, while we wait for Everflame to hit our screens, why not dive into some intriguing romantasy novels? It might just make the wait a little easier!
