Oblivion Remaster? Don’t Count on It, Says Fallout Designer
Hey gamers! So, it looks like if you’re dreaming of an Oblivion remaster, you might want to temper those expectations a bit. Chris Avellone, a well-known designer from the Fallout series, recently shared his thoughts on the possibility of Bethesda reworking Oblivion into a shiny new version.
According to Avellone, fans shouldn’t be holding their breath for a remaster anytime soon. He hinted that he isn’t too confident in Bethesda’s current engineering capabilities to pull off such an ambitious project. Ouch!
But here’s a twist: Avellone suggested that if Bethesda does decide to dip their toes back into their classic titles, they might want to start with Fallout 3. It seems like a more feasible option for the studio, especially when looking at the technical challenges involved.
So, as we continue to enjoy our adventures in Tamriel and the wasteland, let’s keep our hopes in check for that nostalgic Oblivion overhaul. While the idea sounds fantastic, it’s safe to say it might be a long way off, if it happens at all!
What do you think about Avellone’s comments? Are you hoping for a remaster, or do you think Bethesda should focus on new projects instead? Let us know in the comments!
