Gun Store Simulator: A Whimsical Take on Weapon Sales

So, the future is here, and it looks like robots might just take over my job! But hey, until that happens, I’ve decided to dive into the wild world of job simulators on Steam. This week’s adventure? Running a gun shop in the intriguing early access title, Gun Store Simulator.

Now, if you think about it, America’s got a pretty massive gun problem—around 400 million firearms floating around! So, how do I, a lowly shopkeeper, convince people to buy even more? I mean, there are literally more guns than people! Talk about a crowded market!

But guess what? My worries are quickly forgotten when I find out that, as a newbie weapons distributor, I can only sell a few specific items: baseball bats, brass knuckles, and knives. Yup, no guns for me just yet! I can’t help but wonder how customers will feel walking into a store called “Gun Store” and finding no actual guns. But, surprisingly, nobody seems to mind! People shuffle in, grab their bats and knuckles, and pay up without a complaint. Instead of firearms, they leave with their quirky purchases in camouflage bags.

Maybe I’m onto something good here—by avoiding gun sales, I’m keeping the peace! Instead of shooting each other, folks might just settle their scores with some good old-fashioned fisticuffs. It’s all about personal touch, right? I suddenly decide that my shop won’t ever sell guns, not even when I get the chance. Nope, I’m all about that blunt force trauma—with a name like “The Blunt Hut,” of course!

So, how’s business, you ask? With my focus on brass knuckles, I quickly rake in enough cash to hire a helper, Jackson, who sports some pretty snazzy camo pants. My task now is simple: keep those knuckles stocked! But here’s a funny twist: every time I unpack a new shipment, I’m left with an empty wooden crate that just piles up in my store. I thought the game would clean it up automatically, but nope! The crates just keep stacking up, and now I’m curious to see how high they’ll go!

But let’s talk profits! Sure, I can sell knuckles for a decent margin, but then I get tempted by the allure of those shiny knives. They’re pricey, and I can mark them up even more! I finally cave and set up a special knife shelf, thinking I’ll justify it by the distance from my knucks. But my customers gobble them up like hotcakes, and I’m shocked at how high I can raise the price without any backlash.

My knife venture pays off, and pretty soon, I’m able to hire a second Jackson to help out. Oh, and I splurged on a shooting range because, why not? But here’s the catch—I still don’t have any guns to sell! So, my first customer at the range just stands there demanding a gun that I can’t provide. Talk about awkward!

As financial troubles loom, I decide to consolidate my inventory and let go of one of my Jackson clones. But soon enough, demand for those knives skyrockets again, and I’m back in the green, hiring more help than ever! And just when I think I’ve hit a plateau, I reach a new level that unlocks hunting gear. But honestly? I’m too busy jacking up backpack prices to care about rifles!

In a hilarious twist of fate, my shop has transformed into a backpack emporium, and I can hardly keep up with the demand. Who would’ve thought running a “Gun Store” would lead to such a fashion-forward venture?

So, what’s the verdict? Do I want to be a real-life gun shop owner? Definitely not. The thought of selling weapons makes me uneasy, especially with the risk involved. But is Gun Store Simulator a fun experience? It’s got potential, but it’s pretty basic in its current state. If it doesn’t level up, it might be a tough sell to recommend.
