Windrose Developer Teases Major Content Update: Patience is Key!
Ahoy, gamers! The pirate survival adventure, Windrose, has made quite a splash since its early access launch, captivating players with its vast oceans and challenging gameplay. However, after two weeks of exploring its initial three biomes, many players are left wondering what’s next on the horizon.
In a fresh update, developer Kraken Express has opened up about the future of Windrose, revealing some intriguing plans. First off, they’re focusing on fixing some pesky issues, including performance hiccups and connectivity troubles. Expect a smoother sailing experience soon, as the team aims to implement these quality-of-life improvements over the next couple of weeks.
But here’s the catch—when it comes to new content like additional biomes or epic bosses, we’re looking at a longer wait. Kraken Express has stated that their next significant update, which will introduce a new biome called Ashlands, will take approximately six months to roll out. Yes, it sounds like a bit of a wait, but the developers assure us that this time will be invested in creating something truly worthwhile.
“We appreciate your patience and trust in us,” they shared on Discord. “Our team has been hard at work to bring you a remarkable Early Access experience, and we’re committed to delivering a big, impactful update rather than several smaller ones that may not have the same excitement.”
The team estimates that Windrose will remain in early access for about 1.5 to 2.5 years, with only about half of the content planned for the final version currently available. So, players can look forward to even more biomes, formidable bosses, unique enemies, and plenty of loot in the future!
While a detailed roadmap isn’t ready just yet, Kraken Express promises to keep players updated in the coming weeks. Plus, they’ve introduced a new support page for submitting bug reports and feature requests, ensuring that player feedback is part of the development journey.
So, fellow adventurers, let’s keep the faith and look forward to what’s in store for Windrose. It’s going to be a wild ride!
