PakGamersHub (“we”, “us”, “the platform”) operates the website pakgamershub.com, the PakGamersHub Android app, and the PakGamersHub iOS app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices. By using PakGamersHub you agree to this policy.
This policy is provided for transparency and to meet app-store requirements. It is not legal advice; for a binding policy you should have it reviewed by a qualified lawyer in your jurisdiction.
Who We Are
PakGamersHub is a community platform for gamers in Pakistan, offering forums, a marketplace/trade stream, live chat (shoutbox), user profiles, a community trade-caution list, and related features.
PakGamersHub, including the website pakgamershub.com and the official PakGamersHub apps for iOS and Android, is owned and operated by Asad Khalil (known online as “JauntyM”).

Information We Collect
Account Information
When you register, we collect your username, email address, and password (passwords are stored in hashed form by WordPress; we never store them in plain text). You may optionally add a display name, avatar, city, gamertags (e.g. PSN/Xbox IDs), and favorite games.
Content You Create
Forum posts and threads, marketplace listings, shoutbox messages, voice notes, reviews, reputation ratings, images/attachments you upload, and trade-caution reports (including any evidence and details you submit).
Trade-Caution Reports
If you submit a report to the caution list, we collect the information you provide about the transaction and the other party, plus evidence you upload. These reports are reviewed by our moderators before they may be published, and the person named may dispute a report.
Push Notification Data
If you enable notifications, we store what is needed to send them, linked to your account so they reach the right person. On the website and on Android this is a browser push subscription (an endpoint and keys), delivered through your browser’s own push service. In the iPhone app it is a registration token from Google Firebase Cloud Messaging, which passes the notification to Apple’s push service for delivery to your device.
A notification contains only what you would see in the app anyway — for example that someone replied to your thread, and a link to it. Neither Google nor Apple receives the contents of your private messages. You can turn notifications off at any time in app settings or your device settings, and we delete the stored subscription or token when you do or when the device stops accepting them.
Crash Reports (Mobile Apps)
When the iPhone app crashes, a report is sent to Google Firebase Crashlytics so the fault can be found and fixed. A report describes the app and the device — the model, the operating system version, the app version, and where in the code the crash happened — together with an identifier for the installation. It is not linked to your account, and it does not contain the contents of your messages, your posts, or your listings.
Technical and Usage Data
Like most websites and apps, we and our service providers may automatically collect IP address, device/browser type, pages or screens viewed, and similar diagnostic data.
We use Google Analytics to understand how the platform is used. Google Analytics stores an identifier in your browser or app storage and receives the screens you view and certain actions you take (for example posting a message or creating a listing). We do not send Google your name, email address, or account ID, and we do not send the text of anything you search for — searches are recorded only as a length, never as content.
We also use Cloudflare (a content-delivery and security provider), which processes request data to protect and deliver the site. We do not use advertising identifiers, and we do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
Phone Number
Verifying a phone number is optional. If you choose to verify one — for example to reach a higher trusted-trader level — we store that number against your account and send a one-time code to confirm it. We do not display your number publicly and we do not use it for marketing. You can ask us to remove it at any time using the contact address above; removing it also removes any trader status that depended on verification.
Separately, if you submit a trade-caution report about someone else, any phone number you provide about that person is stored as part of that report and is shown publicly only in masked form.
Signing In With Another Service
You can create an account or sign in using Sign in with Apple, Google, or Discord. When you do, that provider tells us a unique identifier for you and, depending on your settings, your name and email address. We use these only to create and access your account, and we never receive your password for those services. If you use Sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email address, Apple gives us a relay address instead of your real one, and that is all we store.
Verification Data
For certain actions (such as submitting a caution report on the web), we may use a one-time email verification code.
How We Use Information
- To provide and operate the platform (accounts, posting, trading, chat, notifications).
- To moderate content and keep the community safe, including reviewing caution reports and handling disputes and reports of abuse.
- To send you notifications you have opted into (replies, mentions, announcements, and similar).
- To send service emails (e.g. account, moderation outcomes) and, to administrators, operational alerts (e.g. content awaiting review).
- To protect the platform against spam, fraud, and abuse.
Legal Basis and Consent
We process your information to provide the service you request, to pursue our legitimate interest in operating a safe community, and, where applicable, with your consent (for example, push notifications). You may withdraw consent for notifications at any time.
How Information Is Shared
We do not sell your personal information. Information may be shared in these limited ways:
Publicly, by Your Choice
Content you post (forum posts, listings, public profile fields, approved caution reports) is visible to other users and visitors. Approved caution reports display the information necessary to warn the community (such as the reported name/alias, city, platform, and a masked phone number); we do not publish the reporter’s identity or private evidence.
Service Providers
Hosting (Bluehost), CDN/security (Cloudflare), email delivery (SMTP provider), push notifications and crash reporting for the mobile apps (Google Firebase Cloud Messaging and Firebase Crashlytics), and similar providers that process data on our behalf to run the platform.
Third-Party Content Services
The platform uses third-party APIs to generate and source news content (e.g. AI text and image services) and to source images; these operate on article content, not on your personal account data.
Embedded YouTube Videos (Reels)
The Reels section may show videos from our own YouTube channel, JauntyM. These videos are played using YouTube’s official embedded player; we do not download, modify or re-host them. When you view or play a video, YouTube (operated by Google LLC) may collect information such as your IP address, device and browser details, and viewing activity, and may use cookies or similar technologies, in accordance with the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. We do not receive or control that information. If you prefer, you can choose not to play the videos.

If required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of our users or the platform.
Your Choices and Rights
Access / Update
You can edit most profile information in the app.
Delete Your Account
You can delete your account from within the app (Profile → Edit Profile → Delete Account). Deleting your account removes your account and associated personal data, subject to limited retention described below.
Notifications
You can turn push notifications on or off at any time — in the app under Notifications, or in your device settings. Turning them off stops delivery and removes the stored subscription or device token.
Caution Reports
A person named in a report may submit a dispute through the platform.
Data Retention
We keep account and content data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Shoutbox messages and their attachments are automatically deleted after 7 days.
When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize associated personal data, except where we must retain certain records to comply with law, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, or maintain the integrity of community-safety records (such as caution reports and their moderation history).
Children
PakGamersHub is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.
Some content and interactions are intended for users 13 and older (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher).
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including hashed passwords, access controls, moderation, and a security/CDN layer. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
International Users
The platform is operated for users in Pakistan but may be accessed elsewhere. By using it, you understand your information may be processed on servers and by providers located in other countries.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new “Last updated” date. Significant changes may be communicated within the app.
