Fable 4 Gets Pushed to 2027: Here’s the Scoop
Looks like the much-anticipated Fable 4 is officially on hold until 2027! Just a month ago, we heard whispers that the game might be delayed to dodge the massive release of Grand Theft Auto 6, but it seems those rumors were spot on.
Microsoft has confirmed that they’re moving Fable’s launch to February 2027, citing the crowded gaming landscape as a reason. In their announcement, they stated, “the year is packed with incredible games,” pointing out that GTA 6 is just one of those major titles. On the surface, it seems like every big franchise is getting ready for a showdown, with games like Halo: Campaign Evolved, Gears of War: E-Day, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 also lined up for release.
While we can agree that Modern Warfare 4 will take some of the spotlight, many gamers believe there’s still plenty of room for Fable’s return. Microsoft further mentioned, “In order to plan our game launches through the holidays, we’re moving Fable to February 2027 so it can have the dedicated moment it deserves.” Sounds promising, right?
We’re all looking forward to a fresh look at Fable and the rest of their lineup during the upcoming Xbox Games Showcase on June 7. However, it’s worth noting that while February 2027 is a more specific target than the previously mentioned fall 2026 window, it’s wise for our fellow gamers to mark those calendars in pencil! After all, we’ve been hearing about Fable 4 since 2019, a full decade after Fable 3 graced our screens.
So, gear up for what promises to be an exciting year ahead in gaming, but let’s keep our fingers crossed that Fable 4 actually makes it to us in early 2027!
