Exciting New Cards Unveiled for Magic: The Gathering | Marvel Super Heroes!

Today at an exciting event, fans were treated to some thrilling news as Magic: The Gathering’s Mark Rosewater and Marvel’s Jesse Falcon took to the stage to unveil five brand-new cards from the upcoming Magic: The Gathering | Marvel Super Heroes set, set to drop later this month!

First up, in the WHITE category, we’ve got the Squadron card along with a Mythic Hyperion, who is the supreme leader of the Squadron Supreme. This character is not only super-powered but also a delightful pick for die-hard Marvel fans looking for those deeper cuts.

Switching to BLUE, we’ve got a card themed around the Kang Dynasty, featuring a Mythic variant of Immortus, Master of Eternity. This card highlights one of the most formidable versions of Kang, who is known for his time-bending powers.

Now, for all you BLACK die-hards, we’re bringing in two powerful cards focusing on the iconic Doctor Doom — one is simply DOOM, while the other is a Mythic Doctor Doom, Unrivaled. Rosewater made a great point, saying, “You can’t just have one Doctor Doom in this set! He’s one of Marvel’s best villains, and he deserves to have multiple representations!”

Moving on to RED, we’ve got a card inspired by WandaVision featuring the beloved duo of The Vision and Scarlet Witch. This particular Mythic card showcases them together, which Rosewater noted is fitting since they are such a popular couple in the Marvel universe.

Lastly, in the GREEN category, we have the Savage Lands along with a Mythic Sauron, Dino Devotee. This card brings an entertaining twist to the game, presenting players with a dilemma: cure cancer or turn people into dinosaurs! Falcon chimed in with a laugh, saying, “It’s one of my favorite Marvel memes! If we’re not having fun, what are we even doing?”
