Dive Back into Planescape: Torment with the Exciting New Fan-Made DLC

Hey gamers! If you’ve ever felt the urge to revisit the magical world of Planescape: Torment, you’re in for a treat. A passionate fan project named Blizzard in Baator has finally dropped its first act, adding a treasure trove of new content to this classic RPG.

This mod isn’t just a minor tweak; it’s a grand expansion that introduces fresh storylines, captivating cinematics, new characters (including some recruitable companions), and even unique locales like the Frozen Wastes of Cania. If you’re a fan of the original, this is definitely something to check out!

According to the team behind the mod, it’s “significantly bigger than Siege of Dragonspear,” which means they’re aiming high with this ambitious project. As they put it, they’re attempting to follow in the footsteps of what many consider the greatest RPG ever.

For those itching to try it out, the mod is available on Nexus Mods, but downloading it from Github is your best bet for an easier installation process. Just a heads up: the new quests are tailored for players with a Nameless One character at around level 16. So, you can either pick up from an old save or jump into a fresh game and visit Zombie #000 in the Mortuary to level up before diving into this new adventure.

While I’m super excited about the upcoming remakes of the Baldur’s Gate series, Planescape: Torment holds a special place in my heart. The intricate design of Sigil, with its impossible architecture, has always fascinated me, even if it does drive me a bit crazy that you can’t look up while exploring! And while the real-time-with-pause combat isn’t my favorite aspect, there’s less of it here compared to other titles. So, in the meantime, an unofficial expansion sounds like the perfect way to relive the magic!

Are you ready to jump back into the world of Planescape? It might just be the perfect excuse to replay the game all over again and organically level up to tackle the new content!
