Bungie Lets Destiny 2 Players Enjoy Infinite Damage Bug for a Week!
Destiny 2 just dropped its final content update, and as expected, it brought along some unexpected surprises—one of which is a game-breaking infinite damage bug! The devs over at Bungie are aware of the issue, which was introduced with the Monument of Triumph update, but they’ve decided to let players revel in this overpowering glitch a bit longer before rolling out a fix next week.
According to Bungie’s team, they think it’s pretty entertaining and are encouraging players to take advantage of the situation. “Go on out there, take down Atheon, and wreak havoc on those bosses. Have some fun!” they mentioned on social media. This bug gives players the ability to stack multiple seasonal Artifact perks, resulting in some ridiculous damage output that’s just too good to pass up.
However, Bungie has put a temporary halt on Artifact use in PvP modes to prevent players from getting wrecked by what they’re calling “The Artifactening.” But in PvE, it’s a free-for-all! Players are encouraged to go wild and share their epic moments. “Do some crazy stuff. Send us your videos. Have some fun. Be Brave,” Bungie added, and we’re all for it!
In addition to this damage glitch, the Monument of Triumph update has also revived some classic boss cheese tactics—like booting bosses off the map! Players are back in The Pantheon, facing a gauntlet of raid bosses, and one clever player, Esoterickk, has showcased how to send Morgeth flying off the edge for an easy win. Bungie’s comms manager even chimed in, saying, “Would it even be a Destiny release if you couldn’t bump a boss off a ledge?”
So gear up, Guardians! Enjoy this brief period of godlike power while you can, and don’t forget to capture and share those wild moments!
