Battlefield Hardline Multiplayer Servers: It’s a Wrap, Folks!

Alright, gamers! We’ve got some news that might hit a bit different for fans of a particular Battlefield spin-off. The official multiplayer servers for Battlefield Hardline have now officially shut down for good on both Xbox and PlayStation platforms.

For those who remember, Hardline brought a unique twist to the classic Battlefield formula. Instead of military conflicts, it plunged us into intense cops-and-robbers scenarios, complete with bank heists, car chases, and plenty of chaos. It was a departure from the usual, and while it had its critics, it definitely carved out its own niche amongst the community, especially for those who enjoyed its faster-paced, urban warfare vibe.

The servers officially went offline on Monday, June 22nd. This means that if you’re looking to jump into a Quick Match, join a Heist, or blast through some Hotwire maps with your buddies, you’re unfortunately out of luck. The online component that made the game so distinct is no longer accessible.

Now, before you completely shelf your copy, remember this isn’t necessarily the end of the road for Battlefield Hardline as a whole. While the official multiplayer experience is gone, the single-player campaign, with its episodic crime drama storyline, remains fully playable. So, if you ever wanted to revisit Nick Mendoza’s journey or experience it for the first time, that option is still very much on the table.

It’s always a bittersweet moment when a game’s online services come to an end. It marks the closing of a chapter for many players who spent countless hours battling it out in its unique world. But hey, the memories and the campaign live on!
