In a recent chat, stars of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Tom Holland and Zendaya, revealed that they are huge fans of the Spider-Man games developed by Insomniac Games. During an interview, they opened up about their love for the gaming franchise, showcasing their enthusiasm for swinging through New York City as the web-slinger.

When asked if the games inspired any scenes in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, their responses were playful yet revealing. Holland commented, “We love the games; they are absolutely sensational.” Zendaya chimed in, admitting her struggles with gaming, saying, “I’m not very good at playing video games. I get very frustrated because I want to play it all by myself, and he’ll try to come [help me].”
Funny Gaming Adventures
Zendaya specifically mentioned a challenging part in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. In this segment, her character, Mary Jane Watson, is taken over by a symbiote and transforms into the villain known as Scream. Zendaya had quite the ordeal with this section and humorously noted that Holland had to step in to help her out.

While promoting Spider-Man: No Way Home back in 2021, he revealed that he received a PlayStation 5 from Sony and thoroughly enjoyed playing it. Holland even mentioned that the film’s crew took inspiration from one of the game’s moves, particularly a scene where Peter Parker flips the Green Goblin in the air before slamming him back to the ground using his webs.
