GTA 6 Hype: Even Fired Rockstar Devs Can’t Escape the Buzz!

Alright, gamers! The hype for Grand Theft Auto 6 is absolutely insane, and it seems like *everyone* is counting down the days until we finally get our hands on it. But what happens when you’re literally part of the team that built this masterpiece, only to be shown the door before its massive, record-breaking launch? That’s the super interesting dilemma a former Rockstar Games employee recently found himself in.

During a conversation with the BBC, this ex-Rockstar dev was directly asked the million-dollar question: will he be diving into the world of GTA 6 once it finally drops? His answer? He’s actually on the fence! Imagine dedicating your time and talent to such a monumental title, then having to decide if you even want to play it after parting ways with the company. Talk about a complicated relationship!

He mentioned that many of his friends, who are likely current or former colleagues, are either getting a complimentary copy straight from Rockstar (lucky them, yaar!) or are planning to buy it themselves on day one. But for him, personally purchasing the game is a no-go. However, in a classic gamer move that many of us can totally relate to, he admitted that despite his reservations and the whole situation, he’ll probably end up playing it somehow. We’ve all been there, right? Saying you won’t get a game, but then the FOMO kicks in hard, or a friend lends you their copy and suddenly you’re hooked!

This little tidbit just goes to show you the kind of magnetic pull GTA 6 has. Even someone who had a professional split with the creators can’t completely escape the magnetic draw of Vice City. What do you guys think? If you were in his shoes, would you be able to resist the urge to play?
