Invincible VS Developers Open to Epic Crossovers with Iconic Characters

In the world of comics and gaming, mixing various characters from different universes is always an exciting concept. Just think about it—who wouldn’t want to see Ryu from Street Fighter trade blows with the Hulk or even Minecraft Steve? The fighting game Invincible VS, based on Robert Kirkman’s popular Image comic, currently focuses on its own cast of characters, but the developers are not ruling out the possibility of incorporating some iconic guest fighters.

In a recent chat, game director Dave Hall and lead combat designer Bau Bautista expressed their enthusiasm for potential crossovers. Hall stated, “We’re definitely not against that idea. It’s thrilling to think about, and we hope to explore some options in the future.” While there’s no official announcement yet, the prospect of characters like Spider-Man stepping into the ring has fans buzzing. Interestingly, Spider-Man has appeared in Invincible comics before, making this crossover more than just a dream.

Bautista added that they’re also keen on characters from the Mortal Kombat franchise, specifically mentioning fan favorites like Sub-Zero and Scorpion. “If we get the chance, we’d love to have them in the game,” he said. There’s even a history to back this up—Omni-Man, a character from Invincible, was a guest fighter in Mortal Kombat 1.

For now, Invincible VS is gearing up to introduce new characters from its own universe. Immortal and Universa are set to join the battle when the game kicks off its first season on June 30. As the excitement builds, fans are left wondering about the endless possibilities that crossovers could bring to this dynamic fighting game.
