In a recent interview, he expressed his belief that the late Kurt Cobain would have totally vibed with this series. The anime centers around two Japanese high school girls who bond over their shared love for Western rock music while spending time in a music shop. He proudly held a physical copy of the manga and remarked, “I think that Kurt definitely would’ve loved this.” When asked if he was serious, Grohl confidently replied, “Oh my god, yeah, of course!” He felt that the series encapsulated a similar message and aesthetic that Cobain would have appreciated.
